Coalitions
At Seastemik, we are committed to strengthening the ocean ecosystem by multiplying our impact alongside other NGOs, building bridges between different worlds, and acting collectively at every scale to catalyse change.
GSFR : Global Salmon Farming Resistance
Seastemik is a member of GSFR, the largest coalition of NGOs fighting against intensive salmon farming, bringing together more than 60 NGOs across 16 countries, including Sea Legacy, Bob Brown Foundation, Patagonia, Sea Shepherd, FoodRise, and WildFish. This alliance enables us to work on global-scale projects and draw on a network of experts.
Call For a Moratorium on Salmon Factory Farms in France
In coordination with members of parliament Anne Stambach-Terrenoir, Benoit Biteau and Damien Girard, 27 major NGOs, covering biodiversity protection, human rights, artisanal fishing, animal welfare and the ocean, are collectively calling for an immediate 10-year moratorium on land-based salmon factories in France.

The Ocean Coalition
The ocean is on fire. To act collectively, Seastemik has joined the Ocean Coalition launched by the association Bloom, supported by more than 130 NGOs and movements. We support all 15 of the coalition's demands, and in particular point 6, which calls to "Ban all new aquaculture projects, including factory farms, along coastlines, with the exception of seaweed and shellfish farming (oysters, mussels, etc.)" and to "Ban fishmeal fishing and the use of animal meal derived from this practice to feed aquaculture species".
